For as long as I have known Rich he has always had a desire to live in Australia, and show me what he loved about the place. 

 This trip has been in our minds for about a year if not longer. Infact when we arrived 18 months ago the vehicle we bought was always going to have to be capable of getting us around!

We have been based in Adelaide since we arrived and have done the sensible things, bought a house, worked, had a few short camping holidays and generally got sick of doing it!

 No surprise there!

Well now we have finally reached the point of going. After putting it off a couple of times we have now let the house and are sitting here surrounded by boxes and mess.....

it will all fit somewhere!

 The vehicle we are using is a 2002 Toyota Prado Turbo Diesel. Rich has spend most of the last year in ARB and the like kitting it out. It is fitted with the following: ARB Bull Bar,

IPF lights, Ironman 9000lb Winch, Rear Air Locker, OME 2" lift suspension system, Cooper Discovery ST Tyres, Beaudesert 2-3/4 inch exhaust, DP Performance Chip, ARB Full Roof Rack + storage box & Custom made wind deflector. Internally it has a home made rear storage system, Cargo Barrier, Black Widow Water Tank & Pump + Water Bladder = 110 ltrs of water, Outback Roof Console and a GME VHF Radio. A BIG thanks to Steve at ARB Morphett Vale for his help in setting up the vehicle.

Our accommodation is a Tambo Cooper Camper Trailer, with Stainless Steel Kitchen, Full Annexe, 80A/H Deep Cycle Battery, 80 watt BP Solar Panel and custom bike rack.

Plans  

At the moment we plan to head north out of Adelaide. We have a few dates to work with due to a couple of work committments that Rich has, other than that we plan to relax, unwind and see as much as possible in as long as it takes.

From Adelaide we are heading to the Flinders, then on to William Creek, then Coober Pedy and Alice. Then who knows......................   Check out our Blog for updates.
