Crusin Down Under Home Page
G'day, Welcome to Mazlin's Home Page.
Follow us on our journey.
Over time, should you not see any photos or blogs entered....don't panic, we're just havin' too much fun, or the laptop's slid out the door!
Quick history-Back in 1999, John & Gail travelled Oz, in a 30 yr old Cub Camper-n had a ball.We climbed the 'huge Red Pebble' in the middle of this country, and while up top, agreed... "We should do this with our kids one day!".
Well... 11years & 3 boys later,we're doing it.From wombats to Wave Rock (in W.A), we can't wait to show them.
Hoping to leave mid May,(if all gets done),trading our home with 5 acres... for a 23ft caravan with ADVENTURES.(think positive now).
Planning a 2.5 year working- holiday. Taking 2 vehicles ,one towing our 'bed n breakfast -come classroom', the other a trailer.
John's in the construction industry, which has slowed,so the opportunity to work outback towns, cattle stations & roadhouses is now.
We're excited to show this great country to our boys, educating them through Distance Education, and teaching 'life skills' while on the road.
They'll be changing tyres in no time! (just kiddin)
Being members of a 4WD club, plus our own family trips, we've spent an abundance of weekends & holidays in our tent and swag. Also enjoying 7 years of fun, in our beloved old Pop-top camper.
Maybe it's the freedom of the outdoors, meeting new people, catching red claws, cooking dampers or relaxing by a fire, with 'mellows' of course... the boys & us just love it.
This, is 'our' experience of a lifetime, to achieve great family moments and bring home fantastic memories.... always remembering, nothing worthwhile is ever easy.
For those out there thinking of doing this, we hope to inspire you to follow your dreams. It is a huge job to bring this dream to a reality. But head down, bum up, just pack the house & GO.
