[VIDEO] Hiking 'The Overland Track' - Part 1

If you love hiking like I do then Tasmania's 'Overland Track' has to be on your bucket list.

This iconic track runs 80km between Cradle Mountain in the north to Lake St Clair in the south and meanders through some of Tasmania's most pristine and beautiful wilderness.

In 2006, I had the opportunity to hike the track for the first time during our 'Big Lap' around Australia.

I loved it so much that in 2009 I went back and hiked it again . . .

And now in 2024 I’ve just returned from my third hike of this spectacular track.

This time I was joined by three of my mates . . . Rob, Zak and Gary.

We spent 8 days covering the 80 odd kilometres, plus another 35km of side trips including Barn Bluff which you'll see in the first episode of the video series above.

I also filmed several 'pre-trip' videos before I left covering my training for the hike, the gear I chose and my food for the 8 days.

You can watch them below or here on YouTube

Stay tuned for the next episode of the series which will be live on YouTube soon.
